Changwon Himchan Hospital (Hospital President Sanghoon Lee) signed a business agreement with Changseon Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Chairman Park Se-bong) in the South Sea on the 19th and conducted medical support activities for local farmers.

About 20 employees, including Lee Kwang-jin, head of neurosurgery at Changwon Himchan Hospital, and Choi Jung-woo, head of orthopedic surgery, examined the health of rural seniors at a temporary clinic at the Changseon-myeon General Welfare Center.

It provided systematic medical services such as X-rays, blood pressure and diabetes checks, treatment, and counseling, from medical examinations of joint and spinal diseases.

In addition, basic physical therapy devices such as arterial wave current therapy devices, percutaneous nerve stimulation therapy devices, and infrared therapy devices, as well as the latest in vitro shock wave equipment that can be treated only by visiting hospitals, have been well received by participants with high-quality physical therapy.

The event was part of the 「Rural Wangjin Bus" project jointly conducted by Namhae-gun and Gyeongnam Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and in addition to medical support from Changwon Himchan Hospital, education and insurance counseling were also conducted. Namhae-gun County Governor Jang Jang-nam and Deputy Head of Gyeongnam Agricultural Cooperative Headquarters Lee Chang-hoon visited the medical site to encourage local residents.

Choi Jeong-woo, director of Changwon Himchan Hospital, said, `I am happy to participate in the welfare project promoted by the local government and the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation as a visiting doctor.' `I hope it was an opportunity for senior citizens who have no time to get their knees, shoulders, and back properly examined and treated because of farming.'

Meanwhile, Changwon Himchan Hospital has been steadily participating in medical services in rural areas for the past 10 years since its opening in 2013, and has been implementing community sharing activities by supporting surgery costs for low-income families, participating in blood donation campaigns, and supporting ambulances at local sports events.
