Consortiums of Medical Data-Centered Hospitals, including Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, spurred research on the basis of medical data utilization

The consortium of the Catholic University of Korea's Seoul St. Mary's Hospital (which consists of Asan Medical Center, Seoul National Cancer Center, Chung-Ang University Hospital, and Konkuk University Hospital) held the '2024 CDM (Baseline DB) competition award ceremony at the Maria Hall of Catholic University in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 3rd.
The competition, which was held from April 29 to June 24 as part of the '2024 Medical Data-Centered Hospital Support Project', invited ideas from companies interested in joint research using the consortium's Common Data Model (CDM), researchers, and research teams.
Seoul St. Mary's Hospital formed an evaluation committee consisting of experts in the field and selected a total of eight teams, including one grand prize, one best prize, one excellence award, and five incentive awards, through the first (document) and second (presentation) evaluations.
The results of the examination ▲ The urological multidisciplinary CDM research team (Choi Se-young, Choi Soo-jung, Kim Sun-min, Choi Yoon-won, Kim Han-bit, Ha Yoo-shin, Lim Beom-jin, Song Ki-hyun, Kim A-ram, and Kim Ga-young) won the grand prize, the LLM pathology record conquest team (Park Sung-hyun, Oh Seol-hwan, Kim Ki-hoon) won the grand prize, and the ▲ AcuteInsight team (Yoon Hye-eun, Choi Bo-yeon, Oh Seol-hwan, Park Sung-hyun) won the excellent prize.
The Encouragement Award was given to a total of five teams, including ▲ ALL (Yoo Jae-won, Kim Ki-hoon, Kim Jae-yoon, Oh Seol-hwan), ▲ Yogibera (Im Sun, Park Hye-yeon, Park Ji-soo, Oh Seol-hwan, Park Sung-hyun), ▲ Bamdokkaebi (Jeong Yu-jin, Park Ki-chul, Oh Seol-hwan, Park Sung-hyun), ▲ KCDM (Shin Hyun-jin, Cho Jae-hoon), and ▲ TRP (Lee Se-ha, Yang Hee-jung). The team that received the grand prize, the grand prize, and the excellence prize will continue its follow-up research with researchers belonging to the consortium and receive support for researcher matching, joint deliberation, and joint infrastructure procedures.

On the same day, an agreement ceremony was held to promote joint research based on the use of medical data between the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Information Agency, attended by Kim Dae-jin, head of the Smart Hospital of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital (CIO), Lee Sang-oh, head of the Digital Information Innovation Division at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, Choi Gwi-seon, head of the Ambig Data Center at the National Cancer Center, Park Kwang-yeol, head of the Planning and Coordination Division at Chung-Ang University Hospital, Kim Sung-hae, head of Konkuk University Hospital, and the Korea Health and Information Service, the organization in charge.
The agreement will establish a simplified joint deliberation by-laws for joint medical data use research, operate a consortium joint data review committee, and support the matching process between consortium researchers and external consumers to create an ecosystem using medical data. The term of the agreement is two years from the date of the agreement.
