'eK League Supporters Cup 2024' with K-League players and supporters, Jeonbuk Hyundai wins the first championship


Nexon announced on the 30th that Jeonbuk Hyundai won the final of the 'eK League Supporters Cup 2024' with K-League players and club supporters using 'FC Online'.

The 'eK League Supporters Cup' is a competition co-hosted by Nexon and the Korea Professional Football Federation, where one professional player from each club and two supporters selected as representatives of the club team form a team. Eight K-League teams, including Ulsan HDFC, Suwon FC, Jeonbuk Hyundai, and Pohang Steelers, participated in the tournament, which was held for the first time this year.

On the 29th, the semifinal tournament and final were held consecutively with 130 spectators at the Vita 500 Coliseum in Jamsil, Seoul. In the final match, which was played in a 3-on-3 multi-player match, Jeonbuk and Ulsan faced each other, and after a fierce match, Jeonbuk won the set score 2-1 to win the first championship of the 'eK League Supporters Cup'.

In particular, Jeonbuk supporters Kim Kang-hyun drew a hot response from the on-site audience with a heading goal that determined the championship. Jeonbuk won 3 million won in prize money and 1 million Nexon Cash, while Ulsan, which finished second, was awarded 2 million won in prize money and 500,000 Nexon Cash.

Kim Kang-hyun of Jeonbuk, the winner, said "I was encouraged by the support from the field as I participated in the 'FC Online' competition, which I often play as a Jeonbuk fan, and I'm happy to win the championship."It was my best experience to become an 'FC Online' esports player during the competition."
