Gangdong Sacred Heart Hospital Holds Integrated Meeting with Life Love Crisis Response Center

Gangdong Sacred Heart Hospital (Director Yang Dae-yeol) held an integrated meeting with the Life Love Crisis Response Center and the Mental Health Welfare Center in the community (Gangdong-gu, Songpa-gu, Gwangjin-gu) on the 17th.
Gangdong Sacred Heart Hospital has been operating the only emergency room-based suicide attempter follow-up management project in Gangdong-gu since 2014 with the vision of an advanced medical institution that respects life and is with neighbors.
The 'Emergency Room-based suicide attempter follow-up management project' promotes the emotional stability of suicide attempters who visit the emergency room, and continues to be the mental of suicide attempters through connection with related organizations in the community along with psychiatric treatment services?In addition to psychological treatment, social welfare services are provided to prevent suicide attempts.
At the integrated meeting, Cho Kyu-jong, director of the Life Love Crisis Response Center (specialist in emergency medicine at Gangdong Sungsim Hospital), and Hwang Jae-yeon, deputy director of the Center for Mental Health Welfare in the region (specialist in mental health medicine at Gangdong Sungsim Hospital), shared the current situation of suicide in the region, discussed improvement directions, and conducted burnout prevention programs to strengthen the cooperation system between related organizations.
By facilitating communication with local community organizations, this integrated conference aims to play the most important role among local community resources through active intervention and mutual discussion of suicide attempters.
Cho Kyu-jong, head of the center, said, `More than anything else, the difference between suicide attempts with and without a support system has a great impact on suicide rates,' adding, `I hope this integrated meeting will provide a place to strengthen cooperation with local community organizations to lower suicide attempts in the region.'
