Gyeongsang National University Hospital, 'Anesthetic Appropriateness Assessment' Earned Grade 1 for the 3rd consecutive time

Gyeongsang National University Hospital (Hospital Director Ahn Sung-ki) recently announced that it received a perfect score of 100 in the results of the 「3rd anesthesia adequacy evaluation" released by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, and achieved the highest grade, the first grade, for three consecutive times.
The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service has been conducting an anesthetic adequacy assessment since 2018 to improve the medical quality of the anesthesia area and lay the foundation for safety management of anesthetic patients.
This evaluation was conducted on a total of 1,079 institutions (45 high-level general hospitals, 310 general hospitals, 724 hospitals), and only inpatients (health insurance, medical benefits) who were charged anesthesia for three months from January to March 2023.
The anesthesia adequacy evaluation index consisted of ▲average monthly anesthesia time per anesthesiologist ▲ Whether the recovery room is operated or not ▲ The performance rate of patient evaluation before anesthesia ▲ the rate of measurement of nausea and vomiting and pain points in the recovery room ▲ the rate of patients maintaining normal body temperature (35.5℃ or higher) during and after anesthesia.
Gyeongsang National University Hospital proved to be the best medical institution related to anesthesia, scoring a perfect score of 100 in this evaluation, far higher than the average of senior general hospitals (97.2 points) and the overall average (89.7 points).
Ahn Sung-ki, the director of the hospital, said, "We have obtained the first grade three times in a row with an excellent score of 100 in this anesthetic adequacy evaluation, demonstrating the excellent anesthesia system and capabilities of Gyeongsang National University Hospital. We will continue to do our best to help local residents recover from surgery in a safe anesthetic environment."," he said.
