Himchan Hospital, 15th Youth Summer Internship Program'Host Talent Donation Form Social Contribution

The Himchan Hospital Youth Internship, which has been held every summer vacation since 2010, is a social contribution program in the form of talent donation to help middle and high school students who dream of a career in the health care field choose a department that suits their aptitude and decide their future career by experiencing various tasks and environments directly at the medical field.
A total of 26 students were selected for this internship, and participating students will experience medical sites and receive related education with medical staff at Incheon Himchan General Hospital and five Himchan Hospital (Gangbuk, Mokdong, Bupyeong, Busan, and Changwon) over two days from the 24th to the 25th.
On the 24th, the first day, the curriculum includes post-orientation ▲ radiology, diagnostic laboratory, physical therapy room education and experience ▲ surgery-related theoretical education ▲ vital signs (breathing, pulse, body temperature, blood pressure) and blood sugar measurement education and practice.
On the 25th, the second day, I will attend the morning conference with a specialist and then join the ward rounds. In addition, you will experience vivid fields following ▲ anesthesia theory, surgery theory, internal medicine education and experience ▲ surgery room visit ▲ orthopedic and neurosurgery outpatient experience.
From 4 p.m. on the same day, each hospital will be connected by video to meet with a senior medical school student (Kwon Na-hyun, a senior medical student at Ewha Womans University) and hold a completion ceremony for each hospital.
Park Hye-young, chairman of Himchan Hospital of the Sangwon Medical Foundation, said, `Just as the saying goes, experience is the best education, I hope it will be a useful opportunity for students to listen to advice from current medical staff's experience and to decide their career paths in more detail by experiencing hospital work firsthand.' `Hospital staff will do their best in all curriculums with a warm heart to donate their talents to students looking for their dreams using their respective expertise.'
