Previously, reservation applications were received only by phone during museum hours, but with the establishment of this system, it is possible to apply at all times. The Horse Museum has a permanent exhibition consisting of various harnesses and audiovisual materials, invited writers' exhibitions on horses, and regular special exhibitions throughout the year, and has stable models, touch interactions, and various videos. Earlier this year, tactile exhibits for the visually impaired were also prepared.
The Horse Museum attracts about 3,000 group visitors a year, from kindergarten to elementary schools, middle and high schools, universities, companies, and organizations for the disabled, and will provide specialized programs for each target through this reservation. The Horse Museum has many trips to daycare centers and kindergartens in southern Gyeonggi Province and southeastern Seoul.
It has operated a horse culture experience at a local children's center in Seoul, stations for elementary schools in Gwacheon, and has recently developed and provided various programs such as veterinarian experience and academic ability evaluation. In the case of specialized high schools related to the horse industry and veterinary departments nationwide dealing with the Daedongdong, it is included as a mandatory field trip course for new students every year.
In the meantime, daycare centers have visited at the same time during the spring and fall field trips and failed to utilize the experience program properly or to provide detailed customized programs by visiting without a reservation, but more satisfactory use is expected by operating a reservation system. In the case of veterinary colleges, you can look more closely at veterinary books, speech, and medicine in the Joseon Dynasty, and in the case of administrative colleges and graduate schools, you can hear detailed explanations of horse-related administrative agencies, stations, horse riding, and horse riding systems.
Chairman Chung Ki-hwan of the Korea Horse Association said, `I hope that the various quality field trip programs provided by the Horse Museum will provide an opportunity for many people to learn more about horses and become friendly," he said.
Organizations that want to make a reservation can apply by accessing the Horse Museum from the Public Relations Center on the website of the Korean Horse Association Company or the website of Let's Run Park after signing up as a member.
To commemorate the opening, groups visiting from July to August through the reservation system will also be provided with customized souvenirs such as eco-friendly shopping baskets for adults, sketchbooks for infants, and colored pencils for elementary and middle and high school students. The horse museum and the use of the program are all free. However, the entrance fee to the horse racing day (Friday to Sunday) park is 2,000 won.
