"Korea Gastrointestinal Surgical Association Chairman Heo Yoon-seok, who conducted the metabolic surgery of 'Korea's No. 1", was appointed as the chairman of the Korean Gastrointestinal Surgical Association.
According to Ain Hospital, Director Heo Yoon-seok (surgeon) took office as the new chairman at the first international academic conference of the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Surgeons in 2024 held at Yeongjong Hyatt Hotel in Incheon from the 28th to the 29th. The term of office is two years.
Manager Heo Yoon-seok majored in surgery at Seoul National University Hospital, and served as a professor of medicine at Inha University Hospital and a visiting professor of surgery at Harvard University Hospital. In Korea, it is considered to have opened a new horizon for obesity metabolic surgery as a medical professional who first began metabolic surgery in 2007 and led to the application of health insurance by disease 'obesity' through the publication of a number of papers.
In his inaugural address, new Chairman Heo Yoon-seok said, `As the president of the Society of Gastrointestinal Tracts, I feel a great sense of responsibility.' `I will do my best to advance the development of the society and the research of gastrointestinal diseases in the future.' At the conference, Han Seung-rim (surgeon) of Ain Hospital presented 'Hernia surgery using laparoscopy and robotic surgery'.
