The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation (Chairman Park Byung-mo) announced on the 23rd that it signed a business agreement with the Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kim Cheol-soo) on the 22nd to spread sharing culture and realize social values.

The signing ceremony was held at the Seoul office of the Korean Red Cross, attended by key officials from each institution, including Shin Min-sik, chairman of the Social Contribution Committee of the Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation, and Kim Chul-soo, chairman of the Korean Red Cross. This agreement aims to spread the sharing culture and cooperate with each other for medical support and relief activities in disaster situations at home and abroad. In addition, both institutions will take the lead in implementing ESG management based on sustainable social contribution activities.

Shin Min-sik, chairman of the Social Contribution Committee of the Self-Governing Medical Foundation, said, `I hope that the social contribution activities of the two organizations to be conducted through this agreement will help create a warm society.' `The Self-Governing Medical Foundation and the National Self-Governing Oriental Medicine Hospital will spare no effort to fulfill their social responsibilities for their neighbors and communities in need.'

On the other hand, the two periods have previously cooperated to realize social values. The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation donated 10 million won to Ukraine for humanitarian aid in May, and provided 1.5 million won worth of summer blankets for senior citizens living alone through the Busan branch of the Korean Red Cross in 2022.
