Medical Services Agreement With Chung-Ang University Medical Center, Korea Sports Council Support Telemedicine to the Paris Olympic Team

Chung-Ang University Medical Center (Director Lee Chul-hee) signed a medical agreement on the 1st to support rapid medical services and treatment of national athletes and leaders and executives and employees belonging to the Korea Sports Association (Chairman Lee Ki-heung).
The signing ceremony, which was held in the conference room of the Jincheon National Training Center in Chungcheongbuk-do, was attended by officials from both organizations, including Lee Chul-hee, vice president of Chung-Ang University Medical Center and Jang Jae-geun, head of the Jincheon National Training Center, and promised to strengthen mutual ties and provide rapid medical services to national athletes, leaders, and executives and employees belonging to the Korean Sports Council.
Through this agreement, the Chung-Ang University Medical Center has been designated as a cooperative hospital of the Korean Sports Association, providing quick and smooth hospital treatment and health examination convenience for national athletes, as well as professional mental health counseling by Professor Han Deok-hyun of the Department of Mental Health at Chung-Ang University Hospital, an authority on sports psychiatry.
In particular, the Chung-Ang University Medical Center plans to provide consult telemedicine support in various medical fields as well as mental health to improve and promote the performance of the Korean national team during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In fact, since June, Han Deok-hyun, a professor of psychiatry at Chung-Ang University Hospital, a sports psychiatrist, has been helping athletes to overcome difficulties and trauma related to daily life as well as exercise through mental health counseling applications and psychological support education programs for athletes and leaders participating in the Paris Olympics until the end of the Olympics.
At the signing ceremony, Lee Cheol-hee, Vice-President of Medical Affairs and Medical Director of Chung-Ang University, said, `We are pleased to participate in medical assistance for the national athletes ahead of the Paris Olympics, and we will spare no effort to support the athletes to perform at their best in their best condition"I wish our players well on the world stage and hope that the sweat drops we have shed so far will come out as precious fruits."
Jang Jae-geun, the head of the athletes' village, then said, `We are fortunate to be able to provide psychological and psychological help to our athletes who are fighting against them every day with the weight of being a national team, and we expect that the remote support of consultants during the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics will help the national team athletes greatly.'
Meanwhile, the Chung-Ang University Medical Center is conducting integrated physical and mental health care for Korea's representative athletes in sports mental health, as well as professional orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation treatment for sports damage and trauma of professional athletes in various sports such as professional baseball, soccer, and golf.
