Mokdong Himchan Hospital "Hold to be held accountable for spreading false information about cases that have already been cleared of charges"

Lee Soo-chan, director of Mokdong Himchan Hospital, announced his position on the 3rd in connection with the recent complaint by the Pan-Civil Society Organization Association (Civil Federation) against Himchan Hospital to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for violating medical laws.
Himchan Hospital said that the charges were already cleared twice by the investigative agency in 2023 and that the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency remains investigated on the same matter due to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's investigation conducted before the investigative agency's acquittal of the charges.
Mokdong Himchan Hospital has been faithfully working by submitting all data despite repeated investigations, and expressed regret that civic groups have filed the same complaint again this time despite the ongoing investigation.
Lee Soo-chan, who runs Mokdong Himchan Hospital, was cleared of charges by the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency in June 2023 after being investigated for more than a year for violating medical laws by a petition containing malicious and unilateral claims in 2022. However, the same petitioner filed a complaint with the Yongsan Police Station again with the same content, and the police station concluded in August 2023 that it was acquitted.
The complaint included rebates through intermediary companies, breach of trust and embezzlement using hospital management support companies (MSOs), and violations of the One Medical Person Act, but investigations by investigative agencies revealed that they were all false.
Although there remain cases that the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency investigates on the same issue due to the Ministry of Health and Welfare investigation conducted before the investigative agency's acquittal, we are faithfully working by submitting all data.
The charges announced by the Pan-Civil Society Association at a press conference on July 2nd are the same as the ongoing investigation by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, namely, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency and Yongsan Police Station. It is unfair that the investigation has not been completed for years after repeated complaints and accusations, but we want to wait for the results calmly as the investigation by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is still underway.
However, the petitioner and accuser who initiated this case have already been sued for innocence, and the civic group that disseminated false information will be sued for defamation due to the timely disclosure of false information.
I think the act of maliciously submitting a petition with hostile feelings, repeatedly overusing and reporting accusations and reporting even in non-prosecution, and writing the accusation itself should be blamed not only legally but also morally. Lee Soo-chan, director of Mokdong Himchan Hospital, is suffering serious damage that cannot be converted into money due to the loss of trust and honor he has built up over the past decades due to false facts.
