Participation in the 9th Nexon Youth Programming Challenge (NYPC), which adds various fun, is received until August 12th



Nexon announced that it will hold the 9th 'Nexon Youth Programming Challenge (NYPC)' which adds a variety of fun and unveiled the schedule of the competition.

Anyone between the ages of 12 and 19 (from 2006 to 2013) who is interested in programming can participate in the competition, and applications for participation will be held on the official NYPC website from 11th to 12th August.

NYPC 2024 offers participants the opportunity to take online exercises from August 6. Round 1 will be conducted online from August 8 to August 12, and it is an absolute evaluation method that allows you to advance to the next round if you score a certain score.



Round 2 will be held on August 17 and August 25 by solving problems online within a limited time. Participants can take both tests and choose the highest score in each round. Nexon will select the top scorers in each round of 2 A and B at the same rate and proceed with the finals.

The offline competition will be held on October 26 at the Nexon headquarters in Pangyo. The winner of the grand prize in the 15-19 year old category of the finals will be awarded the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and scholarship of 5 million won and a laptop as a prize, while the winner of the 12-14 year old category will be awarded the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and scholarship of 3 million won and a laptop. In addition, certificates will be issued and provided to round 2 and final contestants, and special awards will be awarded to the top scorers.



This year, Nexon will hold a special event in which both teachers and students can participate in connection with the free coding learning platform 'BIKO'. Elementary, middle, and high school teachers nationwide who wish to participate in the event can receive a prize by opening a NYPC exercise solution class on the website of 'Vico' from the 8th to the 31st and submitting a certification image.

In addition, guidance students can apply for the event by checking the NYPC Exercise Problem Solving Class 'NYPC Participation Application Event Code' and entering it when applying for NYPC 2024. After the event, Nexon will offer prizes such as snacks to the top three schools that submitted the most event codes.

The NYPC, co-hosted by Nexon and Nexon Foundation and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Creative Content Agency, and the Game Culture Foundation, first began in 2016 and marks its ninth anniversary this year with the aim of enhancing youth interest in coding and capacity.
