Gold smugglers have been arrested thanks to the airplane crew's 's insight'.

According to local media such as the Hindustan Times, a female crew member of an Indian Air India aircraft departing from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for Delhi, India, considered a male passenger suspicious.

This was because he refused all water, drinks, snacks, and in-flight meals during the five-and-a-half-hour flight.

The flight attendant informed the captain and said it was suspicious.

The captain told the Delhi Airport Safety Department that there were suspicious passengers on board.

After landing, security personnel blocked the road and took him to the office for questioning as the passenger passed through customs.

Eventually, he confessed to hiding gold in his rectum through the anus.

Gold taken from his body was contained in four oval capsules and weighed more than 1 kg. It was about 6.9 million rupees (about 115 million won) in local value.

Police and customs authorities who arrested the man and are investigating the background said they would like to thank the airline's staff for their base and quick response.
