Professor Lee Hae-guk of Catholic Medical University elected the head of the Research Council on Misuse of Drugs in the Mental Health Research and Development Project

Lee Hae-guk, a professor of psychiatry at the Catholic University of Korea, was elected as the head of the research consultative body in the field of drug abuse and addiction of the Mental Health Research and Development Project Group and held a launching ceremony in the conference room on the 6th floor of the Catholic University of Korea's omnibus Park on the 17th.
The opening ceremony was attended by government officials, including Lee Hae-guk, head of the consultative body, research director for each project, Lee Hyung-hoon, director of mental health policy at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Park Soo-bin, head of the National Mental Health Center.
The Mental Health Research and Development Project Group has designated and operated the National Mental Health Center as a project group through the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency, and the newly launched research council is to support the smooth implementation of technology to respond to mental health-related social problems such as drugs and suicide and to establish a cooperative channel to achieve performance goals.
It will serve as a venue for comprehensive research and public debate led by the council, and communication and cooperation by holding regular exchanges to create synergy and seek cooperation between research projects, not to check the progress of research projects.
In April, the Ministry of Health and Welfare selected four mental health research and development tasks in the field of drug abuse and addiction, and selected researchers and research institutes to conduct research. The research fund to be conducted over the next six years is worth 12 billion won.
The Catholic University of Korea Medical School was selected as the head of the clinical registry and treatment program development research for drug addicts, and the professor of preventive medicine (chief professor Lee Hae-guk) and the professor of preventive medicine (chief professor Lim Hyun-woo) participated in the project.
