Grade 1 2000m race to leap to the top of the Seoul race

Jul 04, 2024

Let's Run Park (Chairman Jung Ki-hwan) Seoul's last race on the 7th, which entered the second half of the year, will be held as a first-class race. The race conditions are a 2000m handicap race for the first-class age open, and only horses from 66 or higher to 100 or lower can participate, and the ranking prize money is 110 million won.

As of the end of June, Let's Run Park Seoul has a total of 76 first-class horses, of which only eight (10.5% of the total) have ratings exceeding 100. These top-ranked horses often compete in target races with large prizes instead of regular races.

Only horses with a rating of 100 or less can participate in this race, so it is meaningful to see which horses can rise to the top in the future. Based on the strong speed and stamina, we will look at the main race horses that are expected to leap to the top-class racehorses.

▶ Kang Pung-ma (11 Jeon 6/2/2, rating 77, Korean male 4th generation chestnut, Buma: Peace Rules (Me), Moma: Wonder Dreamer (Han), Face to Face: Park Jae-beom, Assistant Teacher: Kim Dong-cheol)

He joined the racetrack at the age of two, but he made his debut in June at the age of three, relatively late because it took a considerable period of time to pass the departure and driving screening. It has won six of its 11 races so far, all of which are in the top four. In particular, he challenged the first-class horses with an impressive draw at the Sports Chosun Cup (L) in May. If you take advantage of the relatively light weight, good results are expected.

▶Naalsniper (17 matches 8/4/0, rating 94, Korean male 4-year-old brown, Buma: Two-year-old boy and serve (mi), Moma: Ganyssedways (mi), Maji: Lee Kyung-hoa, Assistant Teacher: Lee Jun-cheol)

This is the second place after 'Global Hit' at the Korean Derby (G1) last year. In the 2000 m, he has won two games by running four times and holds the record of 2000 m, the fastest among horses participating. In the Herald Business Cup (G3) in March, which was held after being promoted to the first grade, he finished eighth by reducing the difference from the top horses, but has not been on the rise since then, winning two races and finishing second.

▶Global Hero (33 games 6/4/4, rating 82, Korean male 6-year-old Brown, Buma: Take Charge Indie, Moma: Motega (Han), Ma: Jang Jae-hyung, Cho: Seung-gyu)

He has been on the rise with three wins in seven races over the past year. In the previous race, he worked with rider Moon Se-young for the first time to win a six-horse race. As a result, 'Global Hero', who was listed in the slow first grade at the age of six, will make his first grade debut. The 2000m race is her first challenge, but she has a 62.5 percent winning streak in the 1800m race, so she deserves to win this race.
