Chairman Kim said "The Korean Liver Cancer Society is composed of key talents in various specialized fields such as internal medicine, surgery, radiology, oncology, and pathology, playing a leading role not only domestically but also globally in the treatment of liver cancer. In particular, many efforts are being made to provide practical help by publishing various and useful materials that meet the eye level of patients and guardians. However, there are still a number of challenges to overcome in the treatment of liver cancer patients, so we want to develop and foster the society by preparing strategies to further revitalize clinical and basic intermediary research, and become a society where patients and their guardians work together," he said,
Meanwhile, the Korean Liver Cancer Society was founded in 1999 and celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. It is a multidisciplinary academic organization with experts from internal medicine, surgery, radiology, pathology, and radiation oncology for the purpose of improving liver cancer-related treatment and research, and currently has about 850 members.
