According to foreign media such as the New York Post, on the 1st (local time), the Air Europa 'UX045' flight from Spain to Uruguay met turbulence over the Atlantic Ocean and plunged before making an emergency landing at Natal Airport in Brazil.
Passengers were thrown around as the plane plunged, and a man broke through the ceiling of the aircraft.
About 30 of the 325 passengers suffered fractures and skin rips in their arms, face and legs.
It was argued that the large number of injuries was due to not wearing seat belts.
One passenger said "The captain sat in his seat with a warning of turbulence in advance and asked him to wear a seat belt, but passengers who did not hear it flew to the floor or to the hallway, and some hung from the cabin ceiling."
The other passengers `It was like a scene in a horror movie.' "I've had a near-death experience"", "I've fallen at such an inalienable rate," he said, explaining the situation at the time.
The plane is a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the same model as the Qatar Airways plane that injured 12 people in a turbulence accident in May.
