Smith Mountain Lake
A teenager in the United States is shocked by an electrocution while jumping into a lake.

Jesse Hamick, 18, died in an electrocution accident after jumping into Smith Mountain Lake in Rowan, Virginia, on July 4 to celebrate Independence Day, according to local media such as CBS News and the New York Post.

When he lost his mind shortly after diving into the lake, his friends jumped in, pulled him out and began CPR.

Upon receiving the report, the rescue team rushed Hamick to the hospital, but he finally died. Friends suffered minor injuries.

Friends felt electrocuted when they went into the water at the timeI told the police.

Authorities' investigation found that electricity flows from the water where Hamick died. Electricity from the dock of a nearby private house was cited as the cause.

However, it was estimated that there was no criminal charge.
