Teenage boys in Vietnam were arrested for firing slingshot at a bus running.

According to local media such as VN Express, 17-year-old Du and 11-year-old Tan, who live in Binlong Province, Mekong Delta, Vietnam, have been arrested for car damage.

Police said they are suspected of damaging windows and windshields by firing metal beads with slingshots on a bus running on the Maituan-Kanto highway.

Earlier on the 2nd (local time), police received a report that the bus window was damaged by an unknown object. Police investigated the boys, who were walking on a nearby road, and found three slingshots and hundreds of metal beads.

The boys admitted slingshotting at the windows of several cars on the highway over the past few days.

As a result of further investigation, six bus windows were damaged on the 28th of last month alone, and each bus suffered property damage of about 4 million to 6 million dong (about 220,000 won to 330,000 won).

The boys stated that they bought slingshots to catch mice but shot vehicles 'for fun'. Police said they sent the children home considering they were minors, but they should be tried soon.
