According to the Indian media Times of India, a thief broke into a hotel in Maheswaram, Langaredi, Telangana, southern India on the night of the 18th (local time).
The thief, wearing gloves, a hat and a cloth on his face, wandered around the hotel restaurant looking for something to steal.
When there was no cash in the counter safe and there was nothing to take inside the hotel, he went to the refrigerator and took out a small bottle of bottled water.
Soon after, he made an annoying gesture while looking at the CCTV camera, took out Rs. 20 (about 300 won) from his wallet, put it on the table, and disappeared.
It was as if he had not stolen bottled water, but had bought it.
The video was filmed on the day of the crime, but the hotel did not notice the intrusion until a week later and reported it to the police.
Police suspect that the thief may be a habitual criminal and are conducting further investigation.
