An Indian woman with the world's longest hair record is making headlines for revealing her hair maintenance method.

According to The Mirror and other foreign media, Svita Srivava, 46, from Uttar Pradesh, India, won the Guinness World Record for the longest hair in the world last year at 236 cm long.

She started growing her hair when she was 14 years old.

She usually washes her hair twice a week and takes about 45 minutes to wash once.

It takes about three hours to dry the hair using three hair dryers.

Until now, hair that has naturally fallen out has been collected and stored in plastic bags.

She said, `I never throw away hair that has fallen out of the shower over the past 20 years.' `I was going to throw away my hair, but I'm so sad that I keep it separately," he said.

She said she often uses a comb and hands to loosen her hair.

He also advised avoiding artificial shampoos and conditioners and mixing natural herbs with ingredients such as eggs, onion juice and aloe vera to wash your hair.
