A video of a surfer whose leg was cut off by a shark's bite swimming away on his own has become a hot topic.

According to local media such as the Daily Telegraph, professional surfer Kai McKenzie (23) was attacked by a great white shark while surfing on North Shore Beach in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia at 11 a.m. on the 23rd (local time).

In the video, he swam desperately to escape the shark and was bitten by the shark and dragged into the water.

Moments later he rose above the water with the loss of his right leg and swam desperately towards the coast.

When he arrived at the beach, a police officer who was taking a walk on his off-duty ran to prevent bleeding by using the dog's leash as a temporary tourniquet.

The severed bridge was pushed to the beach the next day, and residents kept it on ice and handed it over to police.

It is not known whether McKenzie had leg-junction surgery.

Experts estimate that the shark that attacked him was a three-meter-long great white shark.

McKenzie, who is recovering in hospital, showed a passion for surfing, saying "I'll be back in the water in no time."
