An air conditioner outdoor unit fell in India, killing a teenager and injuring one.

According to local media such as G-News and Jagran News, an air conditioner outdoor unit installed on the second floor of a building in Deshbandu Gupta in Delhi, northern India, fell at around 7:30 p.m. on the 17th (local time). Jitesh Chadha (18), who was sitting on a motorcycle on the road at the time, was hit by an outdoor plane.

The outdoor plane fell directly onto Chadha's head, and the boy died at the scene due to the severe impact.

Kishor Franche, 17, a friend next to him, was taken to a hospital and is said to be life-threatening.

At that time, the air conditioner outdoor unit was installed on the wall of the building, but it was presumed that it was highly corroded due to its old age and was not properly fixed.

The police booked a resident on the second floor to investigate, while emphasizing not to install an air conditioner outdoor unit on the outer wall.

Experts cautioned that "in many cases, residents install air conditioning outdoor units arbitrarily, which is very dangerous" and that "if they are installed outside, the fixtures may corrode and fall."
