According to local media such as News.Com, a drive-thru cafe owner in Melbourne, Australia, released a video of two female customers throwing hot coffee at an employee and reported it to the police.
On the 28th of last month (local time), when the incident took place, two women ordered coffee for takeout.
After a while, the employee put two cups of coffee on the order window, and one of the women threw hot coffee at the employee.
Hot coffee was splashed on the face and clothes of the staff and spilled all over the counter.
The owner of the cafe insisted that `I was annoyed that customers had to wait' and"When the staff explained `I will give the car a drink first and deliver the coffee I ordered since it's a drive-thru cafe, customers started to get angry.'
When the driver saw this, he made a concession to give the women coffee first because he would wait.
In response, the employee handed over coffee to the women first. The owner said "CCTV footage was checked and it was two minutes after the order was placed."
The owner claimed that one of the women threw coffee while swearing when the employee tried to say hello while putting the coffee in the window.
After that, the women left in a hurry.
The owner, who reported the women to the police, said "The affected employee suffered burns and is still showing symptoms of psychological anxiety."
The police are chasing the women, believing it to be an assault case.
