Daedong Hospital 'Anesthetic Appropriateness Assessment' Earned Grade 1 for 2 consecutive times

Daedong Hospital (Hospital Director Lee Kwang-jae) announced that it obtained the first grade in the third anesthesia adequacy evaluation conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service with a comprehensive score of 100 points following the second.

Since 2018, the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service has been conducting an anesthetic adequacy assessment to improve the quality of medical care in the anesthesia area and lay the foundation for safety management of anesthesia patients, and this assessment was conducted on senior hospitals, general hospitals, and hospitals that charged more than 30 anesthesia fees from January to March 2023.

The evaluation items were ▲ Average monthly anesthesia time per anesthesiologist ▲ Pre-anesthesia patient evaluation rate ▲ Percentage of patients maintaining normal body temperature during and after anesthesia ▲ Whether to operate a recovery room ▲ Measurement of nausea and vomiting and pain scores in the recovery room, and the average overall score of other institutions was 89.7 points.



Of the 399 institutions, 219 were in the first grade, with 95 points or more, accounting for 54.9% of the total, while Daedong Hospital obtained the first grade with a comprehensive score of 100.

Lee Kwang-jae, director of Daedong Hospital, said "As we put patient safety first, we received the first grade in this evaluation as a result of establishing and managing a system with appropriate personnel, equipment, and facilities in the anesthesia area."We will continue to strive for patient safety in the future."
