According to a memoir written instead by monthly reporter Han Ki-hong 'Should We Pick Flowers With Fist' (2013), the deceased, born in Gwansu-dong, Seoul in 1932, dropped out of Soongsil High School and earned the nickname of a lifetime 'Shinsangsa' due to his experience working as the first boss in the Daegu Special Forces during the Korean War.
After coming to Seoul in 1954, he built a nest next to the Myeong-dong Central Theater. It was time for Kim Doo-han of Umi-gwan, Lee Hwa-ryong of Myeong-dong, and Lee Jung-jae of Jongno-pa (later called Dongdaemun-pa). The deceased formed his own organization and loosely joined the Myeongdong Union. In September 1958, he was arrested for the 'Loyal Road Axe Incident'. After rebuilding the organization in the mid-1960s, he took control of Myeong-dong until the 1970s and served as the boss of the new sect.
