According to CBS News, Star Tribune and other U.S. media, a robbery broke into a liquor store in Maplewood, Minnesota, at around 9:30 p.m. on the 10th (local time).
He put his handgun down on the store counter and asked the manager to put out all the money on the counter.
Leo, the manager, said that there is an 8-year-old daughter in the store, so don't hurt anyone and just take the money.
The robber answered "OK" but began to move to his daughter's side with a pistol.
In response, Leo punched the robber and knocked him down. After the gun was taken away, there was a physical fight.
Then, an eight-year-old daughter came with an aluminum bat and began to hit the robber on the floor.
Eventually, the robber dropped both his gun and money and ran away frantically.
Police, who were dispatched after receiving the report, arrested a suspect with wounds to his eyes and lips several hundred meters away from the store.
The investigation confirmed that the robber was a 37-year-old delivery company employee and that the pistol was a BB bullet made of plastic.
Leo said afterwards, "I only thought about my daughter's safety at the time"It wasn't until I checked the CCTV footage that I saw my daughter holding a bat for me," he said.
He added "I'm really proud of my daughter, and I knew she was really strong."
