Qantas Airlines, Australia's state-owned airline, was found to have accidentally sold first-class tickets at an 85% discount.

According to CBS and other foreign media, some first-class tickets for Qantas flights between Australia and the United States were sold for $3,390 (about 4.5 million won) on the 22nd. This is about 85% cheaper than the usual 20,000 dollars (26.6 million won).

It was found that about 300 tickets were sold in the eight hours when the price was posted.

The incident was caused by a glitch in the reservation system.

Qantas Airways said "Prices sold were not normal transactions"Coding fault in booking system for at least 8 hours", he explained.

Will passengers who purchased the ticket be able to use first-class seats. Unfortunately, it is not possible.

This is because the airline's terms and conditions state that if there is a reasonably obvious error or mistake in the fare price when the customer makes a reservation, the airline can cancel the reservation and refund it in full.

Qantas Airways says "in good faith, customers can request a full refund and are also rebooking to business classes at no additional cost if they wish."," he said. Compared to the usual business class rate, customers can use it at about 65% cheaper prices.

Meanwhile, in 2019, Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific Airlines accidentally sold a $16,000 (about 21.3 million won) business class seat for just $675 (about 900,000 won). Passengers who purchased the ticket had a 'lucky' to use it as it was. On the other hand, in 2018, British Airways canceled tickets to Dubai and Tel Aviv, which were sold for 1 pound (about 1,800 won) instead of 200 pounds (about 350,000 won).
