A terrible thing happened when a father was eaten by a crocodile in front of his family.

According to foreign media such as Sky News and The Guardian, a 40-year-old man fishing on the river south of Cooktown in northeastern Queensland, Australia, was attacked by a crocodile at around 2 p.m. on the 3rd (local time).

A nearby wife and children ran screaming, but the crocodile and the man disappeared.

Rescue teams and police who were dispatched after receiving a report searched the neighborhood, but with no results.

Then, two days later, at around 2 p.m. on the 5th, the wildlife guard killed a large crocodile that was 4.9 meters long.

Police who examined the crocodile's interior announced on the 6th that human remains were found in the crocodile's stomach.

Police say 'A formal identification process is under way but the remains are believed to belong to a missing 40-year-old man" he said.

Meanwhile, a social media video of throwing fish or meat pieces at crocodiles in an area not far from where the crocodile attack took place has sparked controversy.

On social media, people were amazed and delighted by the sight of a crocodile coming up to eat.

In response, the Queensland Ministry of Environment and Science expressed its position that it is `concerning.'

"It is illegal to feed crocodiles in Queensland," the spokesperson said. "If you see this, please report it."

"If you feed them on the riverside, the crocodile will hover around waiting for the next prey," he warned. "In this case, it is likely to attack those who visited the area."
