The Thai military has also been reported to have been assaulted and abused, sparking controversy.

According to local media such as Thai PBS, on the 3rd (local time), a report on the abuse of soldiers by an army officer was posted on the Facebook page of a Thai non-profit organization.

The informant said he was the sister of a soldier and claimed that drunk executives gathered his brother and about 10 other soldiers on the night before forcing him to undress in the rain and repeatedly slapped and kicked him severely injured.

He added that his brother and other soldiers in the unit had been continuously abused before.

She stressed that executives repeatedly beat soldiers whenever they returned to the unit drunk.

In Buriam, she said she wanted to get help from a group because she was poor and had nowhere to ask for help.

As the controversy spread, Thailand's defense minister ordered the commander-in-chief to investigate the incident.

The Thai army later said on Facebook that it had formed a committee to investigate the allegations.

He added that the executives who beat and abused the soldiers will be punished by the military.

Meanwhile, Thailand's military service period requires only one year for high school graduates and six months for college graduates to be discharged from the military, and those selected by lot must complete two years of compulsory service.
