Jaseng Oriental Medicine Hospital Signs a 「Medical Support Business Agreement」 with the Korea Table Tennis Association
Aug 29, 2024
The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation (Chairman Park Byung-mo) announced on the 29th that it signed a business agreement with the Korea Table Tennis Association (Chairman Yoo Seung Min) for the management of spine and joint health of national table tennis players on the 28th.
Key officials from each institution, including Park Byung-mo, chairman of the Jaseng Medical Foundation, Shin Min-sik, chairman of the Social Contribution Committee, Yoo Seung Min chairman of the Korea Table Tennis Association, and Ahn Kook-hee, executive director, attended the signing ceremony held at the Jaseng Medical Bio Center in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.
With this agreement, the Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation will treat and prevent spinal and joint diseases such as national team players, coaches and trainers, and standing soldiers belonging to the Korea Table Tennis Association. Accordingly, it plans to provide preferential benefits from professional tests using MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to integrated oriental medicine treatments such as chuna therapy, acupuncture and acupuncture treatment, and herbal medicine prescription. It also supports medical staff's business trip treatment if necessary.
Table tennis is a sport that can be easily accessed by men and women of all ages, and at the recently held '2024 Paris Olympics', it recorded all-time results and impressed the people. However, professional management and treatment of injuries such as wrist, shoulder, and back are essential as it is a fast-paced event using rackets. Shin Yu-bin, who was recently named the Table Tennis Olympics 'Multi Medallist', is also known to take a rest after the Olympics due to a shoulder muscle injury.
Park Byung-mo, chairman of the Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation, said, `We will provide medical support so that the players who will create a new golden age of Korean table tennis can focus on training without worrying about injury.' `We hope that the integrated non-surgical treatment of the Self-Sustaining Oriental Medicine Hospital will help the players improve their performance and skills.'
Meanwhile, Jaseng Oriental Medicine Hospital has taken the lead in managing the health of various sports players such as soccer, baseball, golf, hockey, and e-sports other than table tennis. In particular, Choi Kyung-ju said he has been receiving acupuncture treatment at a self-sustaining oriental medicine hospital to overcome his waist disc after winning the PGA Senior Open Championship last month.
