Koo Sung-wook, the new director of Gangnam Severance Hospital "Best to prepare future growth engines"

Cho Sung-wook, the 15th director of Yonsei University Gangnam Severance Hospital, held an inauguration ceremony on the 7th.
More than 150 faculty members attended the event at the hospital's auditorium, including Lee Chi-chang, vice president of medical affairs at Yonsei University and head of the medical center, and Lee Sang-gil, head of the external cooperation department at Yonsei Medical Center.

Meanwhile, Koo, who graduated from Yonsei University School of Medicine in 1992, served as the head of the planning and management department at Gangnam Severance Hospital, the head of the public relations department, and the head of the research department, as well as the head of the medical school's medical research department and the head of the Gangnam department. In addition, he worked hard to increase the value of the medical center brand and strengthen external capabilities by serving as the head of the Yonsei Medical Center's external cooperation department. In recognition of his dedication to treatment, research, and education in the spinal field, Koo won the ▲ Korean Society of Neuroinjury ▲ Rami Youngsoo Kim Academic Award of the Korean Society of Vertebrate Neurosurgery ▲ Basic Research Academic Award of the Korean Society of Vertebrate Neurosurgery ▲ Minister of Health and Welfare Award of Merit for Health and Medical Technology Promotion ▲ 8th Medical Device Industry Award.
In addition, Yonsei University's Department of Convergence Medicine and Medical Device Industry was established and a practical medical device industry expert training course was introduced to contribute to fostering convergence professionals who strengthened global competitiveness in the medical device industry. In addition, it is contributing to the creation of social value of fostering the health industry by supporting the growth and development of domestic medical device companies through innovative medical device demonstration projects.
