About 170 people from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, related organizations, consumer organizations, industry, and academia attended the ceremony held at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel in Gwanghwamun on the 29th under the theme of `K-Health W.A.V.E.'

In his commemorative speech, Chairman Chung Myung-soo reflected on the achievements made through the enforcement of the Health Functional Food Act over the past 20 years, stressing that since the enforcement of the Health Functional Food Act, we have developed health functional food into a high value-added industry through scientific and systematic quality control and will now make a bigger leap forward in the global market.
With the full-fledged start of the ceremony, a ceremony to declare a vision for the future was held. Major participants, including Oh Yoo-kyung, Minister of Food and Drug Safety, and Kang Seok-jin, Chairman of the Small and Medium Venture Business Promotion Corporation, vowed a new leap forward in the dry food industry. A total of four people were awarded the award, including honorary professor Lee Hyung-joo of Seoul National University, Kim Jung-tae, secretary-general of the Constitutional Revised National Sovereignty Council, Choi Sung-rak, adviser to law firm Pacific, and Lee Sang-yoon, director of Pulmuone Technology Institute.
Following the screening of the 20th anniversary history video, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the Dry Food Association presented 'How to Improve Health Functional Food Policy' and 'Health Functional Food Industry Future Vision and Development Strategy', respectively.
Kim Sung-gon, director of the Food Safety Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, announced measures to improve health functional food policies to maintain a healthy life for the people and to take a second leap forward in the health functional food industry. We plan to thoroughly manage raw materials so that consumers can consume various health functional foods with confidence, actively provide information on side effects from the intake of various health functional foods, and improve various nutrients such as vitamins and minerals to be used in health functional foods.
Chairman Chung Myung-soo presented a blueprint for the industry by announcing the future vision and development strategy of the dry season industry. With the aim of making a leap into the global market, he stressed the need for regulatory coordination with overseas systems to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic products and explained the direction of development as a global production hub. In addition, in order for the dry food industry to develop in the mid- to long-term, it mentioned practical support such as government-led R&D and export support, emphasizing the urgent need to establish mid- to long-term strategies. In terms of daily national health management, he emphasized the advancement of dry food management and strengthening consumer education and public relations.
