Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the largest indie game festival in Korea 'Busan Indie Connect Festival (BIC) 2024' was held in BEXCO, Busan from the 16th to the 18th.
245 domestic and foreign indie game works from 27 countries, including a 20% year-on-year increase from the receipt of entries, were displayed, the largest ever.
In the meantime, 12 outstanding indie games, including 「Fakebook」,"Shape of Dream" and"The Genius Hamster" were announced, which selected excellent indie game works for the BIC start and fully supported the cost of participating in domestic and international exhibitions. The business, led by Pearl Abyss, began in 2022 with the aim of expanding the indie game ecosystem, and has supported 20 indie game companies through four exhibitions over the past two years.
