According to local media such as Channel 7 and Khaosod, three wild elephants that appear to be family members appeared at a lodging complex in Thailand's Khaoyai National Park at around 5 p.m. on the 11th (local time).
Among them, one of them, who is believed to be the mother, sniffed around a black car parked in front of the accommodation and flipped the car upside down.
Then I pushed the overturned car and turned it around. The vehicle was estimated to be about 1.5 tons, and no one was in the car, so there were no casualties.
The pickup truck parked next to it quickly ran away as the elephant approached.
The elephants were returned to the forest by police who were called upon.
"At the time, tourists were cooking and eating near the accommodation, and it seems that elephants who smelled food approached," Khao Yai National Park said. "It seems that the elephants who thought there was something to eat in the tea looked around and turned the car upside down in anger when they could not find food."
