Medical Association Awards Young-Bin Han of Konkuk University Medical School for Medical Policy Proposed by Young-Bin Young-Bin 'Grand Prize'

The Korean Medical Association (Chairman Lim Hyun-taek) held an award ceremony for a medical policy contest proposed by a young doctor in the conference room of the Medical Association on the 12th.

The grand prize was Han Young-bin, a fourth-year major student at Konkuk University Medical School, and Kim Soo-yeon and one other person who majored in resignation won the grand prize. The three works of excellence were awarded by medical students, and 30 of the winners attended the ceremony to shine.

Chairman Lim Hyun-taek, who attended the awards ceremony, said "Through this contest, we were able to confirm that young doctors, including medical students, are very interested in medical policy. The Korean Medical Association will do its best to meet the expectations of young doctors who should lead Korean medical care in the future, not just this competition."



In addition, Chairman Lim said, `It is you who will take responsibility for and lead the future of our medical care, and it is devastating to see you leave the medical and educational fields at the moment. I feel a great responsibility for the current situation, and I will try to make sure that you can use your medicine as a single doctor as soon as possible."

Since then, individual reviews of the top-winning works by Moon Seok-kyun, vice president of the Korea Institute for Medical Policy, have continued.



Vice President Moon Seok-kyun said, `The grand prize work is especially good enough to be presented as a proposal right away, and all judges unanimously selected first place. Currently, emergency medical professors and academic societies are inundated with contacts," he praised.

Student Han Young-bin, who received the grand prize, responded in his acceptance speech, `It is a proposal submitted through my experience in the emergency room as a guardian, and I am grateful to receive a big award when there were a lot of good works.'



After the award ceremony, Vice President Moon Seok-kyun's lecture was held on the theme of the direction of future medical policy and the role of young doctors, and various opinions on responding to current medical issues were shared through meetings with the board of directors of the medical association.

Chae Dong-young, public relations director and deputy spokesperson of the Korean Medical Association, said "The young doctor policy contest is what I wanted to do the most after coming to the Korean Medical Association. Starting with this competition, we will continue to make efforts to actively reflect the opinions of young doctors who will lead future medical care in the policy."

Then, Im Jin-soo, the planning director of the Medical Association, said "This contest is also meaningful in that Sajik residents planned, prepared, and implemented it as the subject." It is also quite meaningful that four of the top five award-winning works are the works of medical students. It is an event that clearly shows the comprehensive capabilities of young doctors in planning and policy-making."

In addition, Director Lim said "As there were many teachers who actively expressed their opinions at the meeting, I hope that more young doctors will continue to be interested in and participate in the medical association."," he added.
