According to foreign media such as the Daily Mail, a 37-year-old man living in Ahbaz City, Iran, visited the hospital due to chronic abdominal pain and frequent vomiting.
Tests have shown that hundreds of metal objects are blocking the man's gastrointestinal exit.
Medical staff immediately performed removal surgery, and a total of 452 screws, nuts, keys, stones and other metal parts came out of the ship.
It weighed about 2.9 kilograms. It was estimated that the man had been eating it for at least three months.
The patient recovered well after the operation but was diagnosed with psychosis shortly afterwards.
The medical staff did not specify the cause of the patient's psychosis. However, he said that he is `strongly addicted to opium.'
In addition, the patient was estimated to be 'transplantation', a type of eating disorder. This disease is a mental illness that tries to eat or eat even though it is indigestible or nutrient-free. Transplantation occurs not only in humans but also in many animals.
The medical staff published the patient's case in 'Journal of Medical Case Reports'.
