The Economic and Economic User Protection Council is a consultative body composed of experts from internal and external fields, including academia and related organizations (Credit Recovery Committee, Korea Gambling Problem Prevention and Healing Center), to examine the user protection policies implemented by the Economic and Cultural Affairs Headquarters and discuss ways to improve them.
On this day, the council held in-depth discussions on preventive activities to reduce the prevalence rate, follow-up management measures to ease excessive immersion, and sound operation of business sites.
An official from the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Headquarters said, "Based on expert opinions from this council, we will come up with concrete implementation plans, and reflecting this, we plan to continue to carry out various user protection activities such as 'Selecting and Awarding Outstanding Business Places for Healthy Operation' and 'Promotion Activities and Education to Prevent Over-immersion'."
