Je Hye-kyung's 『Infinite Race』, the fourth invitation to the Horse Museum of the Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan), will be held on Sept. 6.

Among the works introduced in this exhibition, the most notable is the recently worked 'Gyeongju' series. The muscular strokes filled the canvas and the intense speed of the riders make the adrenaline soar.

The screen where the brush and knife moved quickly raises the pleasant tension of watching the race close to the audience, and the contrast caused by the heavy horse body and cheerful, colorful riders is reminiscent of a colorful piano variation.

Like the small meeting mentioned before the exhibition, the artist spent almost 10 years in bed due to an unexpected big accident in his 30s. It was 'Mal' that gave the writer, who was tired of such slow recovery and hard rehabilitation that there was no end in sight, a light to cheer up again. In a few still pictures of horse racing taken by her sister herself, the artist saw the light of life like a flash.

And with the desire to paint a racehorse and the desire to stand up again, the artist struggled to raise his brush and began to stand in front of the canvas. Perhaps a new drama has begun through a picture that has no other way to explain it than the word 'miracle'.

Even now, the artist is writing a new dance song (舞曲) on the canvas every time. The intensity of words sometimes cannot be contained in a concept, so they divide the sides and borrow the power of abstraction. The beautiful run that raised the artist up comes to us as a hot praise of life.

Jeong Ki-hwan, president of the Korea Racing Authority, said, `Although the works that show the fierceness of the race are impressive, I think the story of the artist who succeeded in making a comeback and held the invitation exhibition will also give courage to modern people," he said, asking for a lot of viewing.

The invitation exhibition by Je Hye-kyung will be held until October 20, and the first one or two weeks of the exhibition will be adjusted from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. After that, the viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. as before. (Regular closure every Monday, temporary closure of Chuseok and holidays).
