Visiting Youth Equestrian Classes were held in Pyeongchang-gun and Jinan-gun to provide opportunities for more professional learning to non-metropolitan horse racing dreamers during summer vacation.

Organized by the Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan), the class was designed to support young people who are developing their dreams of becoming equestrian athletes even in an environment lacking horseback riding infrastructure. In May, the Korea Racing Authority selected Gangwon Province and Jeollabuk-do Province by drawing lots for areas underprivileged in equestrian infrastructure. Since then, through collaboration with the local horseback riding association, classes have been held at the Daegwanryeong Safari Ranch located in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, in July, and at the Yongdam Horse Riding Club located in Jinan, Jeollabuk-do, in August.

Five professional personnel, including horseback riding athletes and instructors from the Korean Horse Association, visited the site and conducted professional coaching for a total of 25 dreamers. Depending on the level of the participating students, the team and instructors drew high responses by providing customized practical training centered on participants, from posture correction to obstacle competition practice.

In particular, we conducted theoretical training on 'horse' and 'horse' as well as coaching on horse-riding skills, providing participants with opportunities to improve their understanding of horses and horseback-riding.

An official from the Korea Racing Authority said, "We will expand more diverse youth support programs so that aspiring horse-riding athletes across the country can learn and enjoy horseback riding while communicating with horses without local restrictions."," he said.
