Recruitment of Korean Horse Association, Rural Community and Local Revitalization Support Project
The Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan) will recruit social economy companies to participate in the "2024 Rural and Local Revitalization Support Project" (hereinafter referred to as the Support Project) with the Gyeonggi-do branch (Chairman Kwon Kwon-wook) and the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency (Director Chung Hyeon-gon) of this year's Social Welfare Community Fund.

The target of this project, which selects up to five companies, more than last year, is social and economic companies that challenge the creation of economic and social values in rural areas as well as in general communities. In particular, projects that are highly linked to supporting multicultural families and promoting animal welfare will be given preferential treatment.

This year's selected companies will receive project cost of 10 to 20 million won each and one-on-one consulting on and off-line around five times. In addition, as in last year, professional consulting by the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency is supported in connection with (preliminary) social economy enterprises. In the case of goods sales companies, support has been strengthened compared to last year by providing market support by utilizing the resources held by the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency and the Korea Racing Authority.

The application deadline is 4 p.m. on the 16th, and institutions wishing to participate can check details on the social enterprise Cheonggrami website.

Meanwhile, in addition to this support project, the Korea Racing Authority is carrying out various social contribution projects to resolve the imbalance in rural areas. Representative projects include the operation of Yongsan Scholarship Hall for the children of college students in rural areas, the Korea Young Dream Orchestra (KYDO) for youths in rural areas, and vehicle support projects for social welfare facilities. In addition, it is actively striving to fulfill its social responsibilities as a public company, such as social public interest healing horseback riding using horses and animal welfare social contribution projects.

Chung Ki-hwan, Chairman of the Korea Racing Authority, said, "This support project is a good opportunity to support the resolution of various problems in rural communities as well as in local communities, and to seek the coexistence of social and economic enterprises."," he said.
