 The Korea Racing Authority holds the 9th Public Data Startup Competition of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs

The Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Jung Ki-hwan) held an award ceremony for the 「9th Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Public Data Startup Contest」 at 10 a.m. on the 8th at the Korea Racing Authority's auditorium.

The competition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Rural Development Administration to discover open innovative business models using public agri-food data and organized by eight affiliated agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, including the Korea Horse Association.

A total of 135 teams participated in this competition, and 18 points (3 points for the grand prize, 3 points for the grand prize, and 12 points for the excellence prize) were selected as the final winners after the first (document) and second (presentation).

'Team Dark Horse' developed a service that provides multilingual horse racing information to K-racing customers of horse racing exporting countries using public horse racing data. As a result, he enjoyed the honor of being selected as the grand prize in the field of products and services and was awarded 10 million won in prize money and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs award. In addition, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security has advanced to the pan-governmental integrated finals and the King and King competitions, and the Korean Horse Association plans to support them.

'Team Bomi Hooni' developed an APP service that provides various chart information based on horse racing public data. As a result, he was selected for the Excellence Award in the field of products and services and was awarded 3 million won in prize money and the Korean Horse Association Award.

In addition, the Korean Horse Association is strengthening public-private partnerships in line with digital platform government policies, such as the operation of a consultative body for using public data in the horse industry. It is also spurring the creation of new value by making provision of preemptive and customized public data a top priority.
