Self-sustaining Oriental Medicine Hospital Deliver Supplies to Flood-affected Areas"To Help Return to Daily Life"

The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation (Chairman Park Byung-mo) has started to support disaster areas that are suffering from recent torrential rains.

The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation announced on the 13th that it has delivered 273 bedding sets worth 15 million won to the Seocheon-gun Office to support flood damage in Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do.

Earlier last month, in the Seocheon area, flood damage occurred throughout the agricultural land around the Yong and drainage channels, including eight eastern reservoirs and seven drainage fields.

Shin Min-sik, head of Jamsil Jaseng Oriental Medicine Hospital, chairman of the Social Contribution Committee of the Self-Governing Medical Foundation, said, `We hope that the goods will be useful to local residents affected by the damage,' adding, `We will continue to make efforts to help recover damage and return to daily life in flood-stricken areas in the future," he said.

Meanwhile, the Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation has continued to hold sharing events in disaster areas. The foundation delivered 50 million won in subsidies to recover victims of forest fires on the east coast in 2022, and in July last year, it provided 100 boxes of Ssanghwa made by Jaseng Oriental Medicine Hospital and Love Bobcha to flood victims in Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do. In particular, this year, 10 million won was donated to the Korean Red Cross for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
