Self-sustaining Oriental Medicine Hospital Holds a Dream Tree Film Festival' to provide cultural experiences to vulnerable youth

The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation announced on the 9th that it held the '2024 Self-Sustaining Dream Tree Film Festival" to provide low-income teenagers with opportunities to watch movies on the 1st and 7th.

The festival was designed to expand opportunities for vulnerable children and adolescents to enjoy culture and to foster healthy emotions.

Related events were held at CGV Yatap branch on the 1st and CGV Bucheon branch on the 7th, and a total of 200 teenagers, 100 each, enjoyed watching the movie. The subjects consisted of a total of 15 youths from Seongnam and Bucheon regional children's centers in Gyeonggi Province.

The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation also held a related event in 2022, and about 270 teenagers participated in the event at that time.

Park Byung-mo, chairman of the Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation, said, `I am glad that the main event, which had been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 since the first event in 2022, will resume this year.' `We will continue to provide cultural experience opportunities to children and adolescents in the community to faithfully play the role of help them grow up as healthy members of society.'

Meanwhile, the Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation has continued to support vulnerable children and adolescents. Since 2010, the foundation has been working on the 'Child Spine Health Protector' project. The project is a social contribution activity that combines spinal health exercise programs, job experience programs, and medical support for children suffering from economic difficulties. In addition, since 2018, it has been hosting a sports competition for children at local children's centers, the 「Jaesang Dream Tree Olympics」.
