Aug 28, 2024

The Seoul Bumin Hospital (Hospital Director Ha Yong-chan) Cardiovascular Center has achieved 2,000 cases of angiography. This is the first result in a year and a half since surpassing 1,000 cases in February 2023.

In order to increase the success rate of treatment results, the cardiovascular center of Seoul Bumin Hospital is continuing treatment such as coronary angiography, coronary intervention, and pericardial puncture by applying the latest test methods such as vascular ultrasound (IVUS) and coronary pressure wire (FFR).

With Park Soo-gun, director of the center from Samsung Seoul Hospital, a professional radiologist (Han Seung-hyun) with a cardiovascular intervention certificate (KCTA), a nurse (Park Sung-beom), and an echocardiographer (Kim Mi-sook and Kim Soo-jin) with an international echocardiographic certificate (RDCS) are teaming up to provide one-stop services from heart disease diagnosis to treatment.

In addition, general hospitals rarely have extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in preparation for emergencies, and Rota Pro, a coronary atherosclerotic plaque removal equipment, is also scheduled to be introduced. Rotapro is a medical device specialized in cutting out hard-stacked bamboo species in coronary arteries and is used to improve heart blood flow in patients who have difficulty opening coronary arteries due to calcification.

Director of Hospital Ha Yong-chan "The cardiovascular center opened in May 2021 and achieved over 2,000 achievements in a short period of three years.""We will continue to create a trusted cardiovascular center in the community through cardiovascular hotlines and links with local medical institutions for the proper treatment of cardiovascular emergency patients."."
