A video of a Chinese university admission notice being used like a knife has been posted online, making headlines.

Recently, a number of videos of students from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) using knife-sharp admission notices have been posted on the Chinese version of TikTok, 'Douin'.

It is so sharp that it can cut meat as well as fruits such as watermelon. It doesn't even burn easily.

Chinese media, including the People's Daily and China Daily, reported that the admission notice, sent this year, is only 0.2mm thick but is made of special high-tech materials and has sharp cutting capabilities.

The university explained that it was made of a new carbon fiber composite material developed independently by a special composite material research center team.

This carbon fiber is lightweight and has characteristics such as high strength, high-temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance. The color changes when you adjust the angle to the sunlight.

Videos posted online show a student effortlessly cutting a whole watermelon with an admission notice.

Another student posted a video of cutting cucumbers and cutting raw meat like a kitchen knife.

In addition, it shows excellent durability that does not burn even in gas fire.

A school official said, "The carbon fiber admission notice is an example of the school's outstanding strength in the field of carbon fiber composite materials. Please cherish it instead of refraining from dangerous experiments with the admission notice."
