According to the Euroweekly News and the BBC, a thief recently broke into a house in the Prati area of Rome, Italy.
The 38-year-old thief looked at the book on the bedside table and began to read with interest.
After a while, when the 71-year-old homeowner woke up, the thief fled through the balcony where he had entered.
The owner said "I didn't even know I woke up because the thief was concentrating on reading."
The thief, who was immediately arrested by the police, explained that he went in thinking it was his friend's house, but he was trapped in a cage when his items were found to have been stolen from another house.
As the news spread, Giovanni Nucci, the author of the book `Gli deialle sei'', said "Fantastic"I want to present the thief to the end of the book."
This work is said to be a unique reconstruction of Homer's 'Iliad' from the point of view of the Greek gods.
