An Indian one-year-old child mistook a snake for a toy and killed it.

Rakesh Kumar, a 12-month-old boy living in Bihar's Gaia region, caught and bit a snake while playing on the terrace of his house, according to Indian media such as G News and News 18 Hindi. When the mother saw this, she was surprised and rushed the child to a local medical center.

Fortunately, the child was fine and healthy as a result of the examination.

The family also brought the snake to the hospital, but it was already dead.

Snakes are a non-toxic type and are often found in the region during the rainy season.

The family assumed that the child was playing with the snake biting, thinking it was a toy.

The child's father released the news online and posted the video.

The black snake in the video is partially cut off.

Netizens are posting comments such as "A boy who will become big in the future", "Brave because he doesn't know", "It's dangerous to leave a child alone".
