Two-year-old fell after being shot by her mother's boyfriend

According to WRIC, a subsidiary of ABC, a man was shot and collapsed in a house in Chesterfield County, Virginia, on the morning of the 19th (local time).
The shooter was none other than a two-year-old boy living in this house, and the man who was shot was the boyfriend of the child's mother.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter, but is in critical condition.
Police put a handgun on the chair as the man prepared to leave the house, and assumed that the child who picked up the gun appeared to have accidentally fired one shot.
Police are now conducting further investigations into the incident.
