In the United States, a police officer was killed when a gun fell into a drain was fired in the process of retrieving it.

According to the New York Post and the U.S. police union, a Washington DC police officer was accidentally fired while pulling a gun out of a storm drain on the 28th (local time) and injured his head. He was rushed to the hospital, but he died in the end.

The officer is Wayne David, who served in the Metropolitan Police Department for over 25 years.

Washington DC police say the "true hero has passed away" `We will never forget him" he said.

According to the police, a suspicious man jumped out of the vehicle early in the morning, threw a gun into a storm drain and ran away.

The police are looking for this suspect.
